Following in-situ recording, artefacts are excavated and brought to the surface where the processes of identification, measuring, photography and storage in an appropriate medium were undertaken. All information was entered into a finds handling database using Microsoft Access.
The following types of information are included within the database:
|
Artefact records |
Digital photographs of the artefacts |
Survey films |
Objects were stored in an appropriate storage medium and handed over to the conservation laboratory in Vlissingen. Following conservation, some of these are added to the existing display at the Stedelijk Museum in Vlissingen. Many will be kept for the opening of the new museum in 2002.
